For the baby shower ceremony, Natasha wore a green sari, while dad-to-be Aditya Radij also opted for a traditional look to complement his wife and wore a white kurta pajama teamed with a black Nehru jacket.

The actress wore a green silk saree with golden borders and heavy gold jewellery. Being parents was a low-key affair at the ceremony with only family members. Natasha shared glimpses of the baby shower ceremony in which her relatives can be seen performing the rituals.

Complaint filed against director Leena Manimekalai

Following the ‘Kali’ controversy, a Delhi-based lawyer on Monday (July 4) filed a police complaint against Manimekalai over the controversial smoking poster. He said that the objectionable video clips and photos should be banned and removed from the internet on an immediate basis, as it insults the religious beliefs of a particular community and will harm Hindus.

The director, on the other hand, hit back saying: “I have nothing to lose. As long as I live, I want to live with a voice that speaks what I believe without fear. If it costs my life then it can be given. In a Twitter post in Tamil in response to an article on the controversy, the Madurai-born filmmaker said: “The film is about the events of one evening during Kali’s walk on the streets of Toronto city. If they watch the film, they will put the hashtag ‘Love you Leena Manimekalai’ instead of ‘Arrest Leena Manimekalai’.”

Filmmaker Leena Manimekalai courted controversy after she shared the film’s poster on social media, which shows a woman dressed as Goddess Kali smoking a cigarette.

Rahul Mishra’s Couture Collection for Fall 2022 – WWD – Pen 18

Rahul Mishra had a childhood memory, when he used to collect his fallen clothes. The designer was born in a small village in India, and there he could see a huge banyan tree from his home.

During the summer, women would tie cotton threads around the tree, symbolizing that they were trying to protect it. In return, the idea was that the tree would protect their families, Mishra explained.

“So in a real sense, trees protect us all,” he said. Thus, the name of his collection: “Tree of Life.” Mishra also envisaged the golden light and energy of the Sun.

All those images were transmitted in vivid form, torn with intricate 2D and 3D embroidery, and varied silhouettes.

The display’s openers were adorned with golden leaf embroidery. A minidress was spangled with a flared skirt, as were the shoulders of a thigh-length, gold-colored, striped jacket-dress.

Mishra did not stop here. They intertwined the gold theme with vivid, colorful floral embroidery. They appeared on the likes of a V-neck dress with golden embellishments at the waist and embroidery down the waist with small flowers, houses and rabbits.

The eye-catching, supersized flower-motif embroideries of six look like the bold, yellow-orange and reddish-pink varieties that went over a plunging top.

Mishra painstakingly experimented with sewing to obtain a wide range of quantities. “There’s a lot of variety out there — from skinny bodysuits to extremely exaggerated shoulders,” he said. “It’s been a fun collection to design.”

Nick Kyrgios | Rafael Nadal: Kyrgios eyes Wimbledon quarters as Nadal picks up the pace

Nick Kyrgios is back in action after his dramatic win against Stefanos Tsitsipas at Wimbledon on Monday as he reaches a mouth-watering semi-final with Rafael Nadal.

The maverick Australian overtook Tsitsipas in a thrilling four-set encounter on Saturday, during which he called the fourth seed out of the tournament for hitting the ball into the crowd.

Kyrgios called the umpire an “insult” as anger flared up and bad sentiment spread at the post-match press conference.

The defeated Greek player said that his opponent had a “bad side” and described him as a “bully”, commenting that Kyrgios laughed.

Kyrgios, 40th in the world, thrives on his bad-boy image and Saturday’s outbreak was not even his first of the tournament.

But it will be a different challenge against American Brandon Nakashima, a player he has never faced before, and may struggle to recreate the intensity of the big match on center court.

Kyrgios, who has reached the quarterfinals of only two Grand Slams, believes he has the firepower to win Wimbledon.

“All around, if I keep doing my things, I feel better. I’m fine,” said the 27-year-old, who garnered vocal support from the crowd on Saturday despite his antics.

Chasing the third leg of a calendar Grand Slam, Nadal found his momentum in his third-round match against Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego and will now face Dutch 21st seed Boutique van de Zandschulp.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion, a two-time winner at the All England Club, reached the last 16 in straight sets after needing four sets to progress in his opening two matches.

“My best match, undoubtedly, since the start of the tournament,” said Nadal, the only top-10 player left in his side of a draw.

“I improved today. Very happy for that.

“I made a lot of things better than the previous days, the determination, the way I manage to play more aggressively, going to the nets a lot more often.”

In the other two last-16 matches, Australia’s Alex de Minaur will play Chile’s Christian Garin while Australia’s Jason Kubler will take on 11th seeded American Taylor Fritz.

Quarter Beacon for Tenacious
In the women’s competition, Harmony Tan, who defeated Serena Williams in the first round, faces American Amanda Anisimova.

Tan needed more than three hours to beat Williams but remained in top form on Saturday to beat Britain’s Katie Boulter 6-1, 6-1 in just 51 minutes.

Tan, ranked 115 in the world, said she is enjoying Wimbledon.

“I guess I like grass,” she said. “I never play on this court but I like to play with my game with slices and volleys and everything so I’m really happy.”

In the top half of the draw, the most exciting match of the day is between fourth seed Paula Badosa of Spain and 2019 champion Simona Halep, who has yet to lose a set.

Romania’s Halep, seeded 16th this year, said being champion at the All England Club has given her confidence.

Badosa is the only member in the world’s top 10 – along with Tunisia’s Ons Jabur – left in the women’s tournament.

French veteran Alize Cornet, who ended Polish top seed Inga Swietek’s 37-match winning run on Saturday, faces Australian Ajla Tomljanovic, while 17th seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan will take on unseeded Croatian Petra Martic.

10 Corso Como Concept Store Opens Pop-up in Forte dei Marmi – WWD – Pen 18

Resort Pop-up: 10 Corso Como will open a pop-up store in Italy’s luxury resort town Forte dei Marmi on Thursday, which will stand for the entire summer season until September 30.

The store is spread over 1,512 square feet on the entire ground floor of a building in front of the courtyard of Via Carducci in the heart of Tuscan city. A frescoed solarium stands at the front.

“I have known Fort dei Marmi since childhood. For me, it has always been synonymous with summer and I am delighted to bring a small part of 10 Corso Como to the sunny Versilia coast,” said President of 10 Corso Como Tiziana Fausti said.

Similarly to the old and original concept store in Milan, it reflects the aesthetics of American artist Chris Ruhs, and will offer a selection of fashion brands ranging from Comme des Garcons and MM6 to Visvim and Yohji Yamamoto.

The airy and light-filled store will also carry a number of co-branded products in agreements with Lewis, Sakai, Stephen Jones and Maison Margiela. Design items from Cassina or bicycles by Rossignoli, as well as fragrances from Laboratorio Olfativo and Paris-based Miller & Bertoux, will also be available.

Last year, 10 Corso Como celebrated its 30th anniversary, coinciding with a new phase in 2020 after Fausti, the brand and company branch that manages the store and its restaurants, aims to expand internationally and online.

The retailer is now under the direction and business development of Fausti and the artistic, image and communication direction of founder Carla Sozzani. The store reflects their individual tastes, pioneering a retail concept that blends fashion, cuisine, art, music, design and lifestyle and has over the years been featured in everything from Balenciaga, Prada and Maison Margiela to Dries Van Noten and Azzedine Alassa. The late designer is a close friend of Sozzani.
