Jacob Cohën Collaborates With Emerging Designer Matthew Adams Dolan – WWD – Pen 18

Denim Frenzy: Italian luxury denim brand Jacob Kohn, led by artistic director Jennifer Tomasi Bardelle, is partnering with American designer Matthew Adams Dolan for its first women’s capsule collection for spring 2023.

Jacob Kohn, in collaboration with Matthew Adams Dolan, will feature designs created primarily using denim, a fabric often employed by the designer for some of his recent looks.

“Working with Matthew was a truly thrilling experience,” said Tomasi Bardell. “I am sure that our collaboration is the first step towards Jacob Kohn’s true opening to the world of fashion, while remaining faithful to the stylistic code and DNA of the brand.”

The artistic director, whose husband Nicola Bardell relaunched the brand in 2012 before dying in an accident, said: “In Matthew, I saw the creative flair that has always characterized Nicola’s work.”

The collection will be distributed in selected Italian and international retailers.

Adams Dolan is an emerging designer who launched his name brand after graduating from Parsons School of Design. He collaborated with Rihanna, who enlisted him to consult on his Fenty x Puma collection.

The collaboration with the artist continued until the launch of his Fenty brand in 2019 with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. In 2018, the designer was selected as one of nine finalists for the LVMH award.

Mohammed Shami becomes fastest Indian to take 150 ODI wickets

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has become the fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in ODIs. Shami achieved the feat during the first ODI of the three-match series against England at the Kennington Oval on Tuesday.

I’m not who you think I am: Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah says he was taken to UK using another child’s name

LONDON: Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah has revealed that he was illegally brought to Britain from Djibouti in the name of another child.

“The truth is I’m not who you think I am,” Farah, 39, told the BBC in a documentary called “The Real Mo Farah”.

Farah, who became the first British track and field athlete to win four Olympic golds, says her children have inspired her to be truthful about her past.

“The real story is that I was born as Hussein Abdi Kahin in Somaliland, in the north of Somalia,” he told the BBC. “Despite everything I’ve said in the past, my parents have never lived in the UK

“When I was four years old my father was killed in the civil war, you know we were torn apart as a family. I was separated from my mother, and I was left with another child named Mohammed Farah. The name was illegally brought into the UK.”

During the documentary, Farah said that she thought she was going to Europe to be with relatives and recalled passing a British passport check under the guise of Mohammed after traveling with a woman at the age of nine whom he knew. Didn’t know before.

“I had all the contact details for my relative and once we reached his house, the lady snatched it from me and tore it up in front of me and put it in the bin and at that point I knew I was in trouble,” They said.

US cricket team one win from reaching first World Cup
