Men’s Spring 2023 Fashion Trend: Relaxed Suiting – WWD – Pen 18
A relaxed suit silhouette, shown mostly without a shirt, featuring a soft shoulder build and worn with spacious, flowy, pleated pants, emerged as the major sewing trend for the spring season.
Mr. Armani, the originator of this soft look, delivered a powerful Giorgio Armani collection, which is filled with lightly tailored suits for the summer season. With white, beige and black came the spectacular sartorial display and some were so lightly made they resembled pajamas. Backstage after the show, Armani said he wanted to reinvent the “classic piece”. mission accomplished.
Young designer Hed Menor presented the gender-fluid collection that featured a new and youthful take on the traditional suit. This new sartorial choice complemented his game of proportion with other sports pieces and outerwear choices. “Ratio is about the removal of class, gender, status, whatever,” said Mener backstage, who maintained that it isn’t really about being feminine or masculine. His inclusive effort resulted in one of the most directional suits of the season.
American designer Mike Amiri’s spring collection guaranteed a thumbs-up: a confident new look at American classics, artistic patchwork designs and some of the lightest suit creations of the spring 2023 season. Double-breasted blazers were so featherlight that they could be tucked directly into the waistband of trousers. Some of the pants themselves were convertible, with buttons running upwards, which could be undone “to fit over sneakers,” Amiri said backstage, adding to the modern sartorial feel of the effort.
“What do men need today? And how can we develop sewing?” Ermenegildo Zegna creative director Alessandro Sartori surprised at a preview walk-through with WWD ahead of the show. The result was a series of super light suit shapes in dusty colors, including soft pinks and light oranges, with active There were traces of clothing and workwear details. Other sartorial pieces included kimono-cut jackets, ethereal coats and double-breasted blazers, some with shirt-collar details instead of lapels. Sartori’s quest for travel has been one of experimentation and innovation. and its effect is clear.
Other trend highlights include: holiday inspired summer suits in gelato tones at Herms; Kim Jones’ new take on her signature side-button Tellur Oblique, a softly constructed suit jacket with a layered lapel that resembles a pair of buttoned sleeves, and an ultra-thin cotton suit in Officine General. There is effortless elegance. All offered a modern take on the traditional staple of men.

‘Stranger Things’ Season Four Beauty Breakdown: Photos, Details – WWD – Pen 18
“Stranger Things 4” was arguably one of the biggest TV debuts of the year, garnering 1 billion views less than a month after its debut, and its story is with audiences raving for the nostalgia and beauty of the ’80s. resonated, which fans are still asking for leads. Makeup artist Amy L. About Forsythe, she said.
On the popularity of the show, he said, “I think our characters are so cute that people get caught up in them.” “People are like, ‘What lipstick did you use? What eye shadow? There are people in cosplay too and they’re looking for every little detail. Like, ‘How big are Eddie’s tattoos?’ They’re just hungry for information, which is really fun.”
Forsythe, who has featured on the hit Netflix show since its first season, satisfies this hunger through her Instagram account, where she’s posting in-depth specific beauty moments fans have been asking about. .
One character that resonated the most is Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, who joined the cast this season. Forsythe posted several photos to her Instagram, showing off detailed photos of the character’s tattoos for fans who want to recreate the style.
Forsythe thinks the look resonates heavily with fans for its authenticity and range of looks from the mid-1980s to the late 1980s.
“I get a lot of calls from coworkers and people like, ‘I lived in the ’80s and it was so perfect,” she said. “They’re like, ‘I wore that makeup and my friend is like that’ [character], I feel like people really resonate with it. And people who weren’t there at the time, I feel like they can still feel that authenticity when they see it and it looks so cohesive. ,
Forsythe’s approach to beauty in “Stranger Things 4” is different from the norm. Instead of focusing on the beauty of the main characters, Forsythe focused more on the background characters. This approach was to maintain the authenticity and individuality of the show’s established characters, but also set the fictional Hawkins, Ind., and typical settings of Lenora, Calif.
While Hawkins’ characters are more bare and traditional, Lenora’s characters adopt graphic colors and the retro-inspired trends that prevailed in 1986.
,[The beauty] paints a picture of who those people are and where they are from,” she said. “I think you can really tell the difference between someone who lives in Hawkins and someone who lives in California. They’re two completely different worlds and I think that’s a great thing to remember. Like , just because something is ‘in’ in one area, it might not be ‘in’ in another. But that’s the show – it’s showing you different kinds of people from different places, And I think that’s what beauty really shows.”
Forsythe said one of the scenes that really stood out to her is the rollerskating rink scene from the beginning of the season because she got to play with ’80s beauty trends, especially for bully characters.

“California” [scenes] I would say it was a lot of fun because you really got to show that this is ’80s cinema,” Forsythe said. “Like, when you go back and look at ’80s movies it would be that makeup Is. The background is a character in our show, so I think with threats, we specifically added things that [replicated] Icons of the ’80s. You have glitter eye shadow, you have too much blush, you have pink lip gloss and these are all things that you can’t necessarily put on one of the main actors without distracting them. ,
While she stuck with a simplistic aesthetic approach to the main characters, Forsythe said the character she thinks had the most striking beauty moment in “Stranger Things 4” is Robin Buckley, played by Maya Hawke.
At the end of the season, the character tweaks his tomboy aesthetic to impress a male psychiatric doctor. The character gets a makeover from Nancy Wheeler, played by Natalia Dyer, whom Forsythe called repeated makeup on Robin that she had seen on her mother.
“We’ve never seen [Robin] beauty makeup look,” said Forsythe. “When we see her go [the] penhurst [Mental Hospital], we see her out of her element and like Nancy watching her mom put on her makeup. It’s a fish out of water, but I thought it was really fun. ,
Overall, Forsythe said that the funniest part of “Stranger Things 4” was the sheer range of characters from the season and it gave them the opportunity to experiment with their looks.
“It was really fun this season as the world got a little bit bigger, so you get a little more of the 80s stereotypical vibe through the characters,” she said. “We have Dungeons and Dragons [characters]We have jock and bullies in California, so you can really start touching on all the things that you really weren’t able to show up before.”

london – It’s a white summer for the Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate Middleton has pulled off her favorite white Alexander McQueen suit for the third time this year as she made an appearance at the Commonwealth Games with Prince William and Princess Charlotte.
The royal couple has gone on a sports marathon by supporting the local teams. On Sunday, the Duke attended the UEFA European Women’s Championship at Wembley Stadium to watch England win their first major championship game since 1966 and the Duchess gave the winning hand to the Great Britain SailGP team in a friendly Commonwealth race against New Zealand .
On a visit to the Sandwell Aquatics Center in Birmingham, Middleton remodeled her 1,945-pound suit for the warm English weather.
