Indian men’s hockey team entered Super 4 after defeating hosts Indonesia 16-0 in their final match of Asia Cup 2022 Pool A at GBK Sports Complex Hockey Stadium in Jakarta. India needed to win by a margin of 15 goals to leapfrog Pakistan and reach second place and make it to the next stage of the continental tournament. With India’s victory, Pakistan is out of the race to qualify for next year’s World Cup.
