Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal was caught in an emotional moment as his longtime rival and friend Roger Federer bid adieu to the sport after a doubles clash in the ongoing Laver Cup 2022. The 20-time Grand Slam champion, 41, and Nadal, playing for Team Europe, lost 6–4, 6–7 (2/7), 9–11 to Francis Tiafoe and Jack Sock of Team World. When the match ended, Federer hugged Nadal as well as Tifo and Sock before crying. Nadal was also in tears after Federer’s loss in his last match in competitive tennis.
