The Pakistani cricket team suffered another injury after Mohammad Nawaz hit batsman Shan Masood while facing the bowler in the nets in Melbourne on 21 October. Fakhar Zaman, who was earlier named in the reserve list, was transferred to Pakistan’s squad of 15. England for the T20 World Cup after Usman Qadir injured his thumb during the T20I series. Unlike India, the entire Pakistan team came for practice in an alternate practice session and all the members were concentrating till Masood got injured. The team doctor and physio reached the batsman and observed him closely. Pakistan captain Babar Azam was seen having a long serious discussion with head coach Saqlain Mushtaq.
