We stand for each other in bad times: Arshdeep Singh on how he moved on from that dropped catch in Asia Cup

MELBOURNE: Arshdeep Singh had “sleepless nights” after dropping a seater against Pakistan during the Asia Cup, but a healthy team environment has allowed the young Indian left-arm pacer to move on from it and take on arch rivals. Allowed to perform a game-changing performance. T20 World Cup.

“We are enjoying our cricket, and as I said the team environment is really good. We love our game so much and when it happens you enjoy the game and there is no challenge. ”

“Personally, I enjoy my game too. I try to be in the present whenever I get a chance.”

On the extra he put in to be mentally tough, he said: “I didn’t put on anything extra, I just try to keep everything simple. Mainly, I don’t think much.”

Opening the bowling with veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep trapped Babar for a golden duck and then in his next over he dismissed Rizwan to give him the opening pace.

Chasing 161, India played an unbeaten knock of 82 from Virat Kohli and took four wickets in the last ball.

“Both the teams are playing really well. As a youngster you really like it. It was a big field, you have to work hard. It challenges you physically and mentally and in you brings out the best,” he concluded. PTI KHS/TAP TAP BS BS
