India US News: India, US to hold 2+2 dialogue on April 11

India and the United States are scheduled to hold 2+2 talks in Washington on April 11.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will meet their counterparts External Affairs Minister Antony Blinken and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. There will also be other meetings between Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh.

The last 2+2 ministerial talks between the two countries were held in New Delhi in October 2020.

India and the United States held a bilateral 2+2 inter-sessional meeting in Washington in September last year and exchanged assessments on developments in South Asia, the Indo-Pacific region and the western Indian Ocean.

The two sides took stock of progress and developments in the bilateral agenda under the India-US Strategic Partnership, including defence, global public health, economic and commercial cooperation, science and technology, clean energy and climate finance, and people-to-people ties. ,
