Sonata Software announces succession plan, appoints Samir Dhir as CEO

Bangalore: Sonata Software today announced Sameer Dhir as its new Chief Executive Officer as part of its board’s succession plan, while Sreekar Reddy will be promoted as Executive Vice President.

The company said in a statement that Sreekar Reddy will continue as MD and will replace Dheer in the next nine to twelve months.

“Srikar will continue to support the leadership team on important organizational initiatives,” the statement said.

“We are excited to have Sameer as CEO in this growth phase,” Reddy said. “He is a proven leader in growing organizations, and we are confident Samir will provide the leadership and vision needed for the next phase of Sonata’s growth.”

Dheer has over 25 years of leadership and industry experience. In his last role, he served as Chief Executive of Global Markets & Industries at US-based IT company Virtusa, where he managed the company’s revenue of more than $1.6 billion.
