Attacks bust government claim of normalcy, says People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration

The People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration on Saturday said the continuing targeted killings in Kashmir busted the story of the administration’s normalcy, asking them to discuss the issues of Kashmiri Pandits and find solutions to the issues mutually. Will ask for an appointment with the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

The PAGD leadership led by Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti met a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits, who expressed their concerns, apprehensions and demands. PAGD – A mix of regional parties formed in October 2020 with the aim of making efforts for restoration of special status and statehood of J&K held detailed discussions with the Pandit delegation and also within the leadership.

“Bloodshed is a daily story in Kashmir… Rahul’s murder has shook the entire society. We all share in his misery… When the entire subcontinent was burning in 1947, Kashmir is the only place where No one got a scratch or injury… This is the tradition of Kashmir that we have to maintain and revive,” said CPI(M) leader and PAGD spokesperson Muhammad Yusuf Tarigami.
