RCB register 13-run win, push CSK to the brink of elimination

Pune: Chennai Super Kings were on the verge of being knocked out after losing their seventh match of the IPL to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 13 runs in the IPL here on Wednesday.

Invited to bat, RCB played a 27-ball 42 from Mahipal Lomror, and Virat Kohli (30), Faf de Plessis (38), Rajat Patidar (21 off 15) and Dinesh Karthik (26 off 17 balls) played a crucial role in the team. Scored 173 runs with useful contribution. for 8

CSK were restricted to 160 for 8 in 20 overs despite a half-century from Devon Conway (56) at the top.

For CSK, Mahesh Thikshana (3/27) took three wickets in the 19th over, while once again fit Muen Ali (2/28) took two wickets and Dwayne Pretorius (1/42) took one .

Whereas, Glenn Maxwell (2/22) and Harshal Patel (3/35) took two wickets to emerge as the best bowler for RCB.
