Caviar Kaspia is Opening in Saint-Tropez – WWD – Pen 18

Riviera Bound: On a global expansion this year, Caviar Caspia is set to open on July 1 in Saint-Tropez, France. The permanent, but seasonal, restaurant will be operated by Annie Famos Group and will be located on the first floor of the Tour Du. Portal in port area.

Previously Kinugawa’s home for the past three years, the space has been renovated in an “Art Deco Tropezione” style, describing it as a “glamorous boudoir with a Mediterranean view,” according to Caspia. Opening from 7 p.m., the New Oyster Independent offers rooftop cocktails including a garnish of vodka, oyster leaf, sea foam, and caviar. There is a DJ to accompany the diners until late at night.

As with all Kaspia locations, expect turquoise tablecloths and napkins, tower-shaped ashtrays – and that famous caviar-topped potato on the menu.

The Parisian restaurant, a favorite of the fashion crowd, on the Place de la Madeleine since 1952, celebrates its 95th anniversary this year.

The Caviar Caspia Group, headed by Chief Executive Officer Ramon Mac-Krohn, recently opened locations in So Paulo and Dubai – and coming soon to Los Angeles, New York City and London.

Annie Famos, formerly an alpine ski champion, operates more than 30 restaurants with her two children, David and Sarah Bremond, in a range of jet-set locations including Saint-Tropez, Megev, Courchevel, Saint-Barthélemy, Biarritz and Avoriaz. Is.

Caviar Kaspia was founded by Arkady Fixon, a Russian refugee fleeing the Bolshevik Revolution who eventually became a French citizen. Out of nostalgia for the homeland of his youth, he decorated his eatery in a pre-revolutionary style with artifacts he collected over the years, including a crystal seal once belonging to Tsar Nicholas II.
