Nikhat, Lovlina, Neetu and Jasmine have confirmed their tickets to Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games to be held from 28 July to 8 August.
After winning the trials, Nikhat will compete in 50kg, Lovlina in 70kg, Neetu in 48kg and Jasmine in 60kg.
In the final of the trials, Neetu defeated Manju Raut 5-2 in the final of the 48kg category, while Nikhat defeated Meenakshi 7-0 in the final of the 50kg category.
In the 60 kg weight category, Jasmine defeated Parveen 6-1. Parveen won the bronze medal in the Women’s World Boxing Championship. Lovlina defeated Pooja 7-0 in the 70kg final in the trials.
After the country’s success at the Tokyo Olympic Games and the 2022 World Championships, India has high hopes for the women’s boxing event at the Commonwealth Games.
