Nicki Minaj Debuts ‘Catwoman’ Latex Catsuit at Essence Festival – WWD – Pen 18

Nicki Minaj debuted her tour visuals during the Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans, showing off Catwoman’s famous look and attitude for her July 1 performance.

In the video, which was presented during Minaj’s show, the 39-year-old rapper was seen standing in front of a neon cityscape in a custom black latex Michael Ngo catsuit. The Catwoman-inspired costume featured silver studs and chain accents, paired with a matching latex cat mask. Minaj emphasized character by lashing out at her assistant.

Minaj debuted scenes before her hour-long performance, which included several costume changes. For one set, the rapper wore a Fendes cropped jacket with a pink faux-fur collar over a Saint Laurent Crushed velvet catsuit that featured a gold metal logo. Minaj wore black heeled combat boots with a layered gold chain shirt-like accessory with choker and cap sleeves over a Saint Laurent piece. She styled her shoulder-length ice-blond locks into a half-up high ponytail while wearing neutral glam makeup.
