T20 World Cup: Suryakumar Yadav relives last-ball six, half-century celebration with Virat Kohli against the Netherlands

When Suryakumar Yadav ended India’s innings with a six over deep backward square leg off Logan van Beek and completed his half-century in 25 balls, as India scored 20 against the Netherlands in a Men’s T20 World Cup Super 12 match Made a challenging score of 179/2 in the overs. On Friday, Suryakumar Yadav posted a video on his Instagram celebrating his last-ball six and half-century with Kohli against the Netherlands.

In one of the videos, captioned – Review, reflect and repeat, Suryakumar can be seen looking at the six that completed his half-century off the last ball of the innings. Virat Kohli celebrated after his shot.

In T20Is this year, Virat and Suryakumar have added 463 runs in just eight matches at an average of over 70. The duo has also added two hundred plus stands and two fifty plus stands, adding another chapter to the wonderful partnership. Match against Netherlands in Sydney.

“I think we respect each other’s game when we’re batting together. For example, when I’m getting some boundaries from one end, he just tries and strikes. Rotates, intends to see good shots.”

“When we’re both batting together it’s just the respect we have for each other. We just enjoy batting with each other, and what shots they play. We play as much as possible. Run so hard. It’s a great thing and really looking forward. To have more partnerships with him,” said Suryakumar, adding that his combination with Kohli is what clicks.
