Chhattisgarh helicopter crash: Chhattisgarh government chopper crashes at Raipur airport; two pilots killed

A Chhattisgarh government helicopter crashed at the Raipur airport on Thursday night, killing two pilots. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prashant Agrawal said that the incident took place during flight exercise at around 9.10 pm at Swami Vivekananda airport under Mana police station area of ​​Raipur.

The SSP said that the two pilots in the chopper were seriously injured in the accident and were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where they were declared brought dead. The deceased have been identified as Captain Gopal Krishna Panda and Captain AP Srivastava, a police officer said. The cause of the accident was not immediately known. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief over the accident and condoled the death of the pilots.

Baghel tweeted, “Sad news of a state helicopter crashing at the airport in Raipur. Both our pilots Captain Panda and Captain Srivastava have passed away in this tragic accident. May God give strength to his family members and the departed soul. grant peace.” ,
