The much-anticipated Fendace collaboration is finally available for purchase.
In September, Donatella Versace and Kim Jones collaborated with their respective Versace and Fendi labels to create the Fendés collection, where Versace designed a collection for Fendi and Jones designed a collection for Versace. Both collections were launched during the pre-2022 joint fashion show, featuring pieces by Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Gigi Hadid, Amber Valletta and many others.
The Fendace collaboration is available for purchase now, with collections being sold in pop-ups and on Versace and Fendi websites and boutiques around the world.
Here, WWD breaks down everything you need to know about the Fends collaboration between Versace and Fendi. Read on for more.
What is Fendace Collaboration?
Last September, Versace’s chief creative officer Donatella Versace and Fendi artistic director women and clothing Kim Jones teamed up on a collaboration, called Fendace, that combined the two brands’ design hallmarks and ethos into two collections. The designers did a complete creative swap, with Versace creating the “Versace by Fendi” collection, and Jones and Fendi’s Sylvia Venturini Fendi creating the “Versace by Fendi” collection.
“It’s a swap rather than a collaboration, and above all, it’s done through friendship,” Jones said in a statement. “It’s the beauty of togetherness time after time and a celebration of the women who have inspired me so much.”
The collection debuted on a star-studded cast of models including Campbell, Moss, Hadid, Valetta and more.

Jones’ collection for Versace featured many of the design house’s signature styles, such as safety pins, iconic baroque prints, and sheer furs. Versace’s collection for Fendi embodied the designer’s signature sexy aesthetic with pieces like minidresses, ’70s-inspired denim pantsuits and shimmering gowns.
In addition to apparel, the collection includes handbags, sneakers, heels, belts, hats, scarves and sunglasses, among other accessories.
What does the Fendace campaign look like?
Versace and Fendi’s collections were presented in two campaigns, featuring another long list of models such as Campbell, Kristen McMenemy, Anja Rubik, Anok Yai, Iman Hammam and Lena Zhang. The campaigns were photographed by Steven Meisel and the videos were filmed by Alec Maxwell.
“The campaign reflects the same spirit of friendship and energy that we had when we were designing the collection,” Versace said in a statement. “Kim is a visionary designer and innovator. To me, Fends will always mean love.”
