chowdhury: P Chidambaram’S heckling seems to be a spontaneous outrage: Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury

A day after pro-Congress lawyers harassed senior party leader P Chidambaram for appearing as an advocate for the West Bengal government in a case filed by PCC President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the state party chief continued his fight. swore to “Corrupt deal” in stake sale of state-owned Metro Diary.

On what happened to Chidambaram, Chowdhury said it was a “spontaneous expression of outrage” by members of the Congress’ legal cell in the High Court.

Speaking to ET, Choudhary said, “For the past two years, I have been fighting and exposing corruption by the ruling government of West Bengal in the highly questionable sale of Metro Diary stake. I am fighting and exposing this corrupt deal. I’ll continue.” on Thursday. He is also the floor leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha.

On Chidambaram’s beating, Chowdhury said: “I was not in Kolkata yesterday (Wednesday) as I was busy with my (Lok Sabha) constituency. To me, it appears to be an incident of spontaneous expression of outrage by the members of the legal cell of the Congress . Kolkata High Court.” Hecklers were heard chasing Chidambaram, shouting slogans including “TMC puppet go back, go back”.

Chowdhury said: “It was certainly not an organized protest by the Congress. So, you must have noticed, there was no march or protest by Congress workers outside the High Court. The incident took place only in the High Court premises. ”

On what he thought of Chidambaram appearing on behalf of the Banerjee government, Chowdhury said: “Some people see their politics and their profession as completely different fields, there is no connection between the two. Chidambaramji is a reputed lawyer and I am just a humble soldier. Congress party. What more can I say!”
