Bangalore: Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother and Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant Kapoor was detained by Bengaluru police for allegedly taking drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night. Guled, DCP, East Division, Bengaluru City said, “Siddhant Kapoor has tested positive for drugs. The police have also sent samples of other people along with Siddhant on suspicion of consuming intoxicants. The sample of Shraddha Kapoor’s brother was among the six people who returned positive. According to an India Today report, the police said that it is not clear whether he consumed drugs and came to the party or consumed them at the hotel.
Siddhant Kapoor has acted in many Hindi movies like ‘Shootout at Wadala’, ‘Chehre’, Ugly, etc. He has also worked as an assistant director in films like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’, ‘Dhol’. ‘, and ‘Bhagam Bhaag’.
At present, actor Shakti Kapoor’s son is in police custody. Reacting to the detention, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor told ETimes, “I can only say one thing – it is not possible”.
Earlier in 2020, Shraddha Kapoor was among those questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the drugs case probed after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. However, nothing concrete was found against the Bollywood actress.
