Anna Sorokin — better known as Anna Delvey — isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and she has made that clear with her first line of NFTs.
This week, Sorokin made his first foray into irreplaceable tokenism with a collection titled “Reinventing Anna” as a way to connect with his growing community and transform his narrative into one beyond “scam.”
“I am very excited about the whole blockchain technology, and my NFTs are not NFTs in the traditional sense,” Sorokin told WWD, calling from the Orange County Correctional Facility in Goshen, NY. Although all NFT holders of Sorokin will be granted access to it, some members will receive personal items and pictures from Sorokin while in prison. The prison seems to have not stopped Sorokin from posting on his social media channels, albeit managed by his team, and on the GTL platform, the messaging network for prisoners.
Fans even go so far as to send her magazine subscriptions to some of her favorite publications, including Vogue, which has become a way for her to stay on top of current style trends. Though she’s consistently in a yellow Bob Barker jumpsuit, it seems Sorokin still has a somewhat stoic grasp on fashion.
“I love Rick Owens so much. I love what Balenciaga is doing right now,” she said.
Most recently, she also hosted an art exhibition in New York City, which she called, displaying a wide range of art virtually in prison. Looking to the future, Sorokin is working on launching his own podcast and writing a book. She wants to be more involved in the fashion world, but she said those efforts will have to wait.
“It’s something that’s obviously very difficult to do from here because it’s so visual,” Sorokin said. “I want to hold out for him, and I want to be super involved. I’m holding off for now, but it’s something I’m interested in.”

Sorokin rose to notoriety after posing as a wealthy German heiress in New York City from 2013 to 2017 who duped the city’s well-connected and affluent people. She was arrested in 2017, and a jury found her guilty of eight charges, including second-degree grand theft, attempted grand theft, and evasion of services. That May, Sorokin received a sentence of four to 12 years in state prison, and was fined $24,000 and ordered to pay restitution of approximately $199,000.
After serving only two years due to good behaviour, he was released from prison sentence in February 2021. However, six weeks later, he was detained by ICE for overstaying his visa. It is not clear what will happen to Sorokin and whether he will be deported back to Germany, where he is a citizen.
