Graduation for good: Andrea della Valle, the vice president of Todd’s Spa, has received an honorary causal degree in economics and management from the Universit Politecnica delle Marche in the Marche region of Italy.
The honor was given to the entrepreneur who leads the business of the Todd Group with his brother Diego della Valle, the company’s president, not only for his business achievements but also for his projects and initiatives with cultural and social leanings.
Marking the occasion, della Valle delivered a lectio magistralis focused on entrepreneurship, highlighting the firm’s responsible approach to business, while emphasizing the local area.
Over the years, TOD has earmarked 1 percent of its net profits for activities to support the sector, especially projects designed for disadvantaged families. The company rapidly rebuilt a 21,600-square-foot manufacturing plant in the central Italian city of Arquata del Tronto, which was badly hit by a deadly earthquake in August 2016, and, in 2019, to the FAI, the National Trust for Italy. contributed to its restoration. of the hill that inspired Giacomo Leopardi’s poem “The Infinite” in the early 1800s.
