Ukrainian talent, whose given name is Litovka, teamed up with Ukrainian apparel label Sleeper for their most recent advertising campaign. Expert in rethinking modern fashion and creating elegant shoes made from flowers, fruits, vegetables and other unexpected finds such as lollipops, medical masks and chestnut shells, she did just that for the dreamy fantasy.
As one of more than 7.7 million people who have left their homes in Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in late February, she said her departure was so quick that she left behind an untidy bed and daffodils blooming on a windowsill. left behind. “It is a bit unfinished – an old life forcibly left behind. These are broken dreams and plans for the day and life,” she said.
Despite uprooting her life in Ukraine to relocate to Spain, she said, “My heart is in Ukraine. It’s impossible to face and it’s impossible to escape.”
Her priority now is to stay indoors while coping with the pain of her “big house, Ukraine”. After the invasion of Russian troops, she became disillusioned with the beauty, which “began to seem irrelevant, unimportant and non-saving.” “Unfortunately, I can only make beautiful shoes,” said Litovka, dreaming of being able to make magical shoes that keep every Ukrainian woman and child safe.

Having felt like an artist since childhood, Litovka said, “I don’t think it’s a work. I like to do it and be inside. It’s better to describe it from the outside.”
Though resigned that may seem, the artist explained, “At the same time, I realized that not much remains unchanged. But the beauty has gone nowhere, although now I feel that I am blind. I wish to see it again.” I will try and try to make it even by shedding tears.”
The campaign’s stylist Ira Lan also served as its model and muse.
Sleeper contacted Litovka, who majored in design at the Faculty of Arts, about the project. With the Sleeper campaign, Litovka sought to create dreams that were safe and beautiful. It required purple cabbage, wildflowers, whipped cream, and other unexpected touches. “Let it be a strange second better world, as the Chinese philosopher Chuang Tzu said, where you are a carefree, wonderful butterfly that dreams of being you,” she said.

Art is both a mantra and a superpower, “It is an act of empathy. It brings people together and makes them human, unlike war, which divides and dehumanizes. Art and Ukraine will win, ”she said. “I don’t think art should change the way people see the world. I think if people change, they can find happiness and create beauty.”
