After closing her storied vintage store last year amid the pandemic, entrepreneur Charlotte Dalison turned to writing and podcasting.
The Melbourne-based vintage style specialist is set to unveil his latest project on Tuesday, a podcast titled “Chase Charlotte Vintage.” The first episode is available to preview on Apple, before hitting Spotify and Google Podcasts.
“In the podcast, I talk with a range of aspirational creatives about their vintage-style journey, complete with eye-catching vintage wardrobes. The podcast aims to get more people to wear more vintage—no insect balls here, just splendor and consistency, naturally,” said Delison, who herself has Marilyn Monroe-esque tresses and can be seen in the 1940s. The speaker lineup for season one includes broadcaster, writer and collector Claudia Chan Shaw; Emmy Award-nominated costume designer Marion Boyce; Fashion historian and owner of an avid Bonnie Cashin collection Stephanie Lake, and old-fashioned influencer and knitwear designer Natalie Jose among many others.
The podcast kicks off the launch of another sustainable fashion podcast called “Hot Buttons,” which dives into the latest sustainable fashion news. Like other podcasts from Post Script Media Inc., the podcast focuses on climate change education.
Without going into detail, Dalison said Chase Charlotte Vintage is a “re-work” of her already existing vintage store, which she closed at the end of last year. Another underlying motive was, “I couldn’t find a vintage fashion podcast anywhere that I really wanted to listen to.”
