Jacquemus Is Heading to Arles for His Next Fashion Show – WWD – Pen 18

looking forward to the beach: Arguably fashion’s most accomplished outdoor showman, Simon Porte Jacquemus will head to a special location by the sea in Arles, France, for a runway performance on June 27.

The collection, titled “Le Papier,” will be available for purchase shortly after the show at the Jacquemus e-store, according to the house.

Clothing and accessories for men and women will be paraded, and some items from their upcoming collaboration with Nike will be unveiled.

Jacquemus considers its collections to be season-less, but deliveries roughly coincide with the fall 2022 fashion season.

Designers prefer to stage fashion shows outside of the traditional fashion calendar, and in unexpected natural settings such as a wheat crop, a rolling field of lavender or a charming tropical beach.

Her last collection, called “Le Splash,” saw barefoot models walking the blue boardwalk on the idyllic beach of Molly Gardens in Hawaii.

Known for his linen designs, Provençal aesthetic and clever sense of social media, Jacquemus is teasing his upcoming collaboration with Nike to his 4.6 million followers on Instagram, where the Arles show will be streamed live.

Preparing for the next phase of growth for its 13-year-old brand, Jacquemus recently brought on Paco Rabane executive Bastien Daguzán as Chief Executive Officer.

The company employs about 100 people at its headquarters in Paris and the logistics center in Cavillon in the south of France.
