David Yurman’s executive tune-up continues. On Tuesday, the American jeweler announced that it has appointed Marcelo Tau as chief operating officer.
Tau will be responsible for supply chain, technology and real estate operations at David Yurman as part of its ongoing global expansion.
Prior to this, Tau served as Vice President and Head of Strategy for Global Operations and Technology at Nike. Prior to this, he was Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group.
His appointment is part of a new guard at David Yurman, now helmed by Ivan Yurman, as founders David and Sybil Yurman step back from the business. Tau will report directly to Ivan Yurman.
“I am pleased to introduce Marcelo to the David Yurman family and look forward to leading operational development in retail and leveraging his extensive experience in transforming global companies. Marcelo’s passion for our mission of delivering unique customer experiences Our leadership team is in parallel, and I look forward to working together to grow our business,” Ivan Yurman said in a statement.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to work with Evan and the rest of the talented David Yurman executive team to lead the business’s growth strategy and execution,” said Tau.
